| Description of Veneer: A flexible veneer which consists of real wood 1/64" thick, with a paper-backing permanently bonded under heat and pressure to a 10 mm non-woven fiber backing. This backer serves as two functions: The first is to act as a carrier holding the finished product together and allowing it to be flexible. Second is to act as a barrier which will prevent adhesives from penetrating through the surface of the veneer. It can be lightly sanded, sealed, stained, filled and finished with top coats just like. It can be applied to most any substrate: Metal, plywood, particle board, etc. Not recommended for use on fine antiques. For the good stuff, I would recommend http://www.certainlywood.com/ |
